The horse drawn cart of Jeypore in Koraput is a living example of the diversity of India Post. While reaching the sky with its own fleet of airplanes and using the service of satellite, e-post and the state-of-the art technology, India Post is maintaining tradition along with modernity. Padmanabh Nayak is the fourth generation Cart man who carries the mail from Jeypore RMS to Bus Stand every day on a horse drawn tonga. His family has been doing this for the last 90 years. India Post has honoured the commitment made to his great grandfather years ago and the Dak Tonga is still in use.
